In order of portrait photos above.

Carmen Wiebe
Carmen grew up in the Hazeltons on Gitxsan territory and has a strong commitment to and love of the area. She did her
midwifery training at Laurentian University in Ontario and joined the practice in 2018. In her time off, Carmen enjoys outdoor
recreation and making music. You can find her out and about in town and on the trails with her husband, son, and two
doggos.

Hana Lang
Hana was raised on a farm, her first experiences of birth were of the animal variety. By a weird twist of fate she found herself
working in Hazelton as a gardener while taking a break from Toronto midwifery. She joined Skeena Midwives in 2020 (as a
midwife not a gardener) and hasn’t looked back since. You can find her chugging iced coffee from Zelda’s most days.

Cat de Cent
Cat was born in a midwifery birth center in England and since coming to Canada at the age of 10, has lived in almost every
province. Making her way to British Columbia after graduating midwifery school in 2005 she has worked in mostly rural and
remote communities both as a midwife and in tree planting camps. After working as a locum in Hazelton last winter, the
community stole away her heart so she packed up her life and moved here in September. Deeply grateful to be working and
living on this beautiful Gitxsan territory.
