The New Hazelton Tourist Information Centre is a free tourist information service offered and maintained by the District of New Hazelton. Throughout its years of operation, the New Hazelton Tourist Information Centre has developed a reputation for friendly professionalism and a commitment to keeping up-to-date with the latest information about the area.

Staff members Taylor Barr and Julia Muigg are passionate about representing the Hazeltons and all the area has to offer visitors of all kinds, whether coming to explore or just passing through. Their excitement is evident when they talk about all of the amazing things to do in the Hazeltons, particularly when it comes to the outdoors. No matter what the season, there is something to pursue in the way of outdoor recreation, whether it is fishing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding or anything else you can do on land, on the water or in the mountains. The Hazeltons are rife with outdoor gems that often surprise visitors, like the lookout/waterfall trail. Says Taylor, "it gives you the illusion of isolation while remaining close to town. It is also extremely scenic and gives a spectacular bird's-eye view of the local area."

Staff note that the Hazeltons are not just a great place to visit. The area is also a wonderful, safe and affordable place to raise a family and is full of opportunities for entrepreneurs who might be thinking of starting a business here. "It is a supportive, tight-knit community," says Taylor.
