Meet Karl Forsyth
Karl Forsyth made an intentional choice to live in the Hazeltons. There is much about the lifestyle that appeals to him: its affordability, the slower pace of life, the sense of community and, of course, the easy access to the great outdoors. Karl started Mount’n View Tire in 2012 to make that desirable living possible for him and his family. It also provided a much-needed service for the people who live in the Hazeltons, who used to have to go to other communities to find tires.
The business has grown tremendously since it first opened. Karl started out with just two employees. Today he has several, thanks to the loyal support of local consumers. Karl calls his staff “the heart of the company” and he is deeply grateful for their dedication and hard work.
Karl is enjoying tackling the day-to-day challenges that come with operating a business, because the rewards are great. Those rewards aren’t always monetary, either. He feels good knowing that he is providing something that the people who live here really need. In fact, says Karl, “my customers are like family” and he works hard at treating them like family.
